*** Message From The Editor ***

Your beloved Editor Overlord Kang has frequently complained that the SSS-HQ is located in the most dingy rain-soaked continent on Mobile Bay. Many are the interns Kang has to brutally slaughter to express his disappointment at the weather.

With this in mind, Kang has decided to trigger runaway global warming.

Please send more hydrocarbons to Mobile Bay that they might be set on fire.

KANG!

*** INDs Causing Trouble? ***

Kang has received confused reports regarding potential black-ops being carried out by Independent vessels throughout the Yank and Solo systems. Details are scarce, but whispered rumours speak of agents sneaking into facilities with large mysterious black cases.

*** Yank News ***

The USN have apparently launched a small number of attacks against Krell positions in the Yank system.

There are however no reports of the System Weapon having been fired. So Kang imagines these were small skirmishes and exchanges of fire rather than anything… dramatic.

*** Shipping Disaster? ***

There are reports that over 70 IMP freighters have perished somewhere in the Solo system.

*** Krell Victory ***

Victorious Krell forces have been celebrating the destruction of two Ulian scout ships, with the loss of… get this… no Krell in return.

A Krell victory where the Krell don’t suffer losses as heavy as those they are fighting?

Inconceivable!

*** Solo News ***

The system claiming Starbase of Manticore has been handed back by the victorious EMP to the puny defeated DEN. Relations between the two powers appear to have normalised.

Further, the EMP seem intent on making peace with other alien affiliations too.

All this peace and love is making Kang uncomfortable.

Although it is unclear who is now in charge of Solo, are the DEN still in command, or do they now just take orders from the Empire of Humanity? A question that has some importance as the FLZ requested safe transit rights from the DEN, and the IMP appeared to provide the answer… Making it apparent that the IMP now truly hold the reigns of power over the defeated DEN.

A complication that appears to be significantly souring relations between the DEN and FLZ.

*** Galleon ***

The Caliphate have now withdrawn from the development project on the Planet Annalar (1388).
All positions on the planet have been handy to the Nation.

The Nation would like to thank the Vizier for his cooperation and friendly manner in which this was done.

*** FLZ Capture Mydoria ***

Flagritz Press Release:

The Empire of the Race can report that the Human that infesting this system have been removed and should the Empire wish to reclaim the system we will.

The Humans took the system spending anything up to $10,000,000 to take and hold. Retaken for less than a million and no allies were sold out for its return.

The Combat for the base lasted days and saw over 18,000 human trained troops killed, these can be added to hundreds of thousands troops killed taking the base and system. Human faction losses have been truly horrendous, yet they show no signs of slowing down the murder of those they rule over. It can only be a form of cleansing of ruled systems of the aliens.

A motion is set to go before the council at some point for discussion on the future of the system. The Xenos faction seem to argue for withdraw, while the Fessin will wish to rebuild. So it will come down to which way the Cliriq will vote

*** CIA Come, CIA See, CIA Clobbered ***

Two squadrons of small CIA warships have penetrated the Ulian home system, only to run into trouble when first a substantial asteroid field, and secondly, some defence platforms, combined to give them a very warm and explodey welcome.

Something in the region of 27 CIA vessels have been reportedly destroyed, with no damage reported amongst the Ulians.

The Ulians have decided to hold a victory parade. Attendance will be mandatory.

CIA crews may have been ‘rescued’ by the Ulians, in which case, Kang smiles at the warm warm welcome they will currently be receiving.

*** Blips In Subspace ***

Observers throughout the Peripheries are reporting odd glitches and delays in the usually very reliable Sub-Space Comms systems.

It is early days, but the EEM who are responsible for maintaining the FTL communications systems that keep the Peripheries in touch with each other, claim there are no problems.

*** Pun Of The Week ***

Regarding FEL Evacuation:

“I have seen what happens when this occurs... Very messy and takes a lot of cleaning.”

Lady Ungol

*** AFT In Hot Water ***

The GTT have caught the AFT picking up debris from destroyed GTT vessels in what some might call a ‘brazen looting incident’. The GTT released the following press statement:

For the attention of,
AFT GFTL Freight 9416 (5030)
AFT Blackbird's Nest (4428)

It is an easy matter to determine the origin of a debris field for those wishing to concern themselves with such matters.
Taking from debris can be a risky business. Especially so, as the dice have been rolled and the AFT have rolled the GTT.

We tolerate the 'accidental' attacks of the FLZ within Yank, this is war of course.
There is sod all we can do about KAS obfuscation and disinterest in enforcing their own published laws.

We are though not tolerating opportunists (some say) looting debris without so much as a please or thank you.
Time enough has passed for the AFT to examine our gear and ask if we want it back. We assume you wish to keep it.

As is good business practice, a fee is now payable.
Contact Director Tilton to discuss appropriate terms for your purchase.

My fee, and now standard terms, for brokering such a deal is $100,000. Payable to #3411.

For a further $100,000 I will direct you to a FLZ debris field, where the GTT will grant you exclusive rights to loot twenty or so hulks.....many of which look like MK IV 250 Heavy Hulls.

Disappointingly the AFT settled the matter peacefully, and nobody got blown to pieces.

*** Ulian Home System Becomes Popular Tourist Destination ***

USN Statement.

It should be readily apparent, to all with knowledge of the Ulians' home system, that it is a restricted area, and all visitors may be fired on without warning. This has happened again, twice today.

Access may be granted, to friends and allies of the Ulian nation, if they have need to be within the restricted area. Since our home system is operating no public markets, and is not 'en route' to anywhere we wish to share, and is not open to unauthorised development, it is hard to see what this need might be, but the facility is there.

This facility, however, does not extend to those merchants operating as FREe traders, given the human-empires' employment of this flag to deliver assault and spying teams to, and within, our defensive ring. It is also the intent of the Ulian race to preserve our home population from contamination by alien influences, and restrict encounters with such influences to those who have been trained for it. Thus, no trading directly with civilian populations will be allowed, ever.

However, we are nothing if not kind, magnanimous and merciful. If the owner and operator of the former free trader vessel 'Scarlet Tipple' can provide us with the correct security codes, we will attempt to recover crew and assets from the debris, and dumped cargo, to be returned to you. This will not be the case if it is discovered to have been yet another attempt at spying, or other nefarious activities, of course.

For the unfortunate Dewiek sensor ship 'SCPU-072-N97-18 Gagarr', nothing can be done, although any explanation that may be given for its presence within the outer defensive ring, would be appreciated.

Mok, USN
